A Quiet Place – Sneaking out into your home on August 13th

A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place is due out on home formats soon, and is a true cultural phenomenon which transformed the film-going experience for millions of viewers. The film is a taut and original thriller which follows a family who must navigate their lives in silence, to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound.

Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and Lee (John Krasinski) are determined to find a way to protect their children at all costs while they desperately search for a way to fight back. The film earned a 95% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes and generated an extraordinary $175M+ at the domestic box office.

The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray take viewers deeper into the film with behind-the-scenes footage exploring the exceptionally unique sound design, the riveting visual effects, and how the cast and crew created the movie’s distinctive atmosphere both on set and on film. These discs also boast a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed specifically for the home to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead, and the 4K disc features Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR), which delivers greater brightness and contrast, as well as a fuller palette of rich colours.

We’re very much looking forward to checking it out on Blu-ray, as we would’ve seen this at the cinema, but a film that requires extreme quiet… from a cinema audience? How often would that happen?? That’s why home viewing will make this movie the perfect experience.

All physical formats are available from August 13th, but the digital streaming version is available two weeks earlier on July 30th. You can also see the trailer below.

This full trailer doesn’t show a whole heap more, but the trailer looks more intriguing this time round, even though not a lot is going on. But then again, it looks like one of those films where the least you know, the better.
