Going straight in at No.1 in the Christmas UK Top 100 Music Chart, unsurprisingly, is X-Factor winner Sam Bailey with ‘Barrel scraper’, I mean, Skyscraper. No, I was right the first time.

As such, Lily Allen‘s drippy Keane cover of Somewhere Only We Know goes down to No.6.

This year’s “Let’s try and get an alternative Xmas No.1” is AC/DC with Highway To Hell, but that only made No.4.

Climbers into the Top 40 include Ed Sheeran with I See Fire at No.20, from the soundtrack to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and, thanks to The Call Centre, The Killers with Mr. Brightside at No.29.
