Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth stars in the heart-warming cross-cultural romantic comedy The Secret Laughter of Women.
Set in the idyllic South of France this uplifting drama stars Nia Long (Friday) as Nimi, a beautiful Nigerian single mother to son Sammy, who is under pressure from her family to find a suitable husband, and who better than the newly arrived handsome Reverend Fola.
But Sammy has other ideas, when he strikes up a friendship with his hero Matthew (Firth) British ex-pat, comic book author, he thinks he’s found his mother’s ideal partner. After much plotting, Nimi and Matthew finally get together, but will their relationship survive the obstacles in their way?
