CoverMOVIE NEWS 24: THE MOVIE’The Calgary Sun’ reports that a movie based on smash-hit TV series 24,starring Kiefer Sutherland as Agent Jack Bauer, is in the works.

Canadian director/producer Jon Cassar said: “The last I heard, the firsthour will not be in real-time, but then something big will happen and realtime will kick in. It still has to be worked out – it’s at a stage wherethey need to write it.”

“It could still be two years from now, so it’s far too early to say [whatthe plot might be.]”

Incidentally, it was rumoured last year that the plot would involve ahostage crisis.

(DVDfever Dom adds: “I’m a massive fan of the TV series andreally don’t think it could work as a movie, partly because it thrives on beingin real-time and partly because watching the TV series itself is like watching24 mini-movies, the content is that intense. Please don’t dilute this fantasticconcept in this way!”)
