Dungeonette – the first physical ZX Spectrum Next game!

Dungeonette Dungeonette is a forthcoming game for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum Next, and the first official physical and paid title to be released, with Nextoid, an Arkanoid-style game, being the first official game itself.

Designed by Adrian Cummings, the game is a dungeon crawler with a nod to the past of now legendary Spectrum games (fans of the great Atic Atac will spot similarities, to this new game’s credit), and with a new twist for the ZX Spectrum Next, which was successfully crowdfunded last year. I’m currently awaiting my cased Next and I can’t wait for it.

You play a brave hero on a quest to enter the Dungeons of Doom and slay the Evil Reaper. With your trusty weapon, armour and shield you must navigate the maze of dungeons ahead and vanquish your foes. Collect as much gold as possible and keep from starving by finding food. The Reaper has sent hordes of monsters to stop you!

Features include:

  • Fast action adventure gameplay.
  • Many dungeons to explore.
  • Cute & colourful pixel graphics.
  • Pickups and power-ups.
  • Hordes of foes to vanquish.
  • Mini-Boss levels.

Dungeonette is released on ZX Spectrum Next in May this year, and will be available from SpectrumNextGames.com. We can’t wait to check it out!
