Wreck-It Ralph – The DVDfever Cinema Review

Wreck-It Ralph

I see an awful lot of kids films.

Hell I’ve sat through Barbie and Zhu Zhu Pet films so it’s always a treat when a film comes along like this one that your little one is dying to see, and it turns out to be even more enjoyable for you than it was for them. Disney, for the first time with a non Pixar production, knock it out of the park with this. A film for kids, mums, dads and geeks alike.

If you grew up during the 8 bit gaming revolution, if you pumped 10p after 10p into Donkey Kong and remember when Grand Prix was consigned to yesterday by the techincolour dazzlement of Outrun, then you’ll love this film and lap up every reference, from a homeless Q*Bert right down to the way characters walk and turn. I can’t recommend Wreck-It Ralph enough. Give yourself and the kids a treat this half term and go see it. A fantastic family film.

Wreck-It Ralph is out in cinemas on February 8th, 2013.
