Ant-Man is a Marvel film which has been very long in the making… or, at least, thinking about.
And with just two weeks to go until its release, there’s the second official trailer.
Originally slated to be directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Spaced), he left the project due to creative differences, so the Marvel enterprise went ahead with a new director. Personally, the only ants I’m familiar with are either the old ZX Spectrum game, Ant Attack, or those pesky creatures which fill up my conservatory during the summer, requiring me to buy a bottle of Raid.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed (Yes Man, Down With Love, Bring It On) and also stars Evangeline Lilly, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Hayley Atwell, and is released in the UK on July 17th.
