Infinitely Polar Bear stars Foxcatcher‘s Mark Ruffalo as Cameron, a manic-depressive mess of a father who tries to win back his wife by attempting to take full responsibility of their two young, spirited daughters, who don’t make the overwhelming task any easier.
Also starring Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Keir Dullea (2001 A Space Odyssey), I’m in two minds whether this is worth watching, although it’s going for the ‘mental illness’ tag which Hollywood often clasps onto, especially following the Oscars success for 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook, and this film’s only a mere 90 minutes so you pays your money and takes your choice…
Infinitely Polar Bear is the directorial debut for Maya Forbes, who also wrote the script, and doesn’t yet have a UK release date, or anywhere else.
