Well I quite liked “Take a Look Around” and have really liked “My Generation”since its endless plays on MTV2, but this single still leaves me cold.

Dominator’s Top 50 of 2000

5. JJ72 – Long Way SouthMaking only No.68 in June last year, this was the debut single for Irishband JJ72, another of those good guitar-based tunes that was doing the roundson MTV2.

The male singer sounds like he’s trying to be like John Lydon at times,while the female guitarist can almost be described as a dead ringer forNatalie Appleton 😉

It was followed in August last year by “Oxygen”, which made No.23and was another single-of-the-week. I’m not sure quite why “we don’t needoxygen”, but the video features far too much of the lead singer and not enoughat all of the achingly-gorgeous guitarist Hilary. 🙂

They also released “October Swimmer”, which made No.29 last November and tocome will soon be “Snow”.
