New entries from No.41-75. See who missed out this time round :
Avoid this single and play his first album to death all over again.
18 Travis – Flowers in the Window :O ===What the hell happened to Travis?Prior to their current album they turned out quite a number of decent songs. Then they released the most predictable and boring song ever made, in theform of “Sing”, yet it was played endlessly all over the place and all themedia seemed to be going mad over both that and this track.
Get it right, people. “Flowers in the Window” is the most wispy, nothing-going-for-itpiece of unadulterated shite ever made (almost as bad as “Sing”, then) andit’s like even if any media types hated it they would always rant on abouthow fantastic it was.
It’s not. It’s crap. Avoid.
1 Gareth Gates – Unchained Melody :O === *2nd Week at No.1*The runner-up in Pop Idol and it didn’t sell enough to beat Will Young’s1.1 million sales in the first week, but it still sold more than Hear’Say’sdebut.
However, it’s a terrible cover version. His voice is far away from thestrength that’s needed to cover it. Practically on a par with Robson & Jerome.
For those who care, both of Will’s tracks are on here too, but sung byGareth.
This is the 6th single in a row to go straight in at No.1 :

14. At the Drive-In – One Armed Scissor
This actually made No.64 in August 2000, but it was only last year whenI heard it on MTV2 for the first time and it’s loud, the singer soundslike he’s mental and the version I’ve got somehow ends completely out ofcharacter with some weird peaceful electronic sounds that just stop afterabout 30 seconds. Anyone know what that’s from?
