The Pop Idol winner and record-breaker having sold 1.1 million copies ofthis single in its first week. It’s a bit too twee for my tastes.
His cover of “Light My Fire” was interesting though.

Dominator’s Top 50 of 2001After last week’s look back at all the Top 50 tracks of last year,this week sees the list of my Top 50 of 2001. From next week I shallbegin my look back at them.
10. Weezer – Hash PipeMaking No.21 in July last year this still thumps along nicely, despite beingcensored on TV occasionally dubbing the song to just “Pipe” or “H Pipe”,or even “Half Pipe”.
It was followed up with the excellent “Island in the Sun” (No.31, Nov 2001).
