Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…

74 Made In London – Shut Your MouthIt’s not a good month for new girl-bands. Madasun dropped out of the chartsafter a week with their second single and now Made in London can’t even do thebusiness in the first week!

42 The Dandy Warhols – Bohemian Like YouAnother excellent track with plenty of MTV2 airplay, but again criminallyignored by the public.

17 Frankie Goes To Hollywood – Two TribesWhy has this been re-released?

10 Bon Jovi – Say It Isn’t So :O ===Please ‘say it isn’t so’ that another same-old-Bon Jovi song has beenreleased? Oh it has. Damn!

4 Element Four – Big Brother UK TV Theme * !!!Yes it may be from a TV show, but it’s a blistering dance track and mustbe played loud whenever it’s on.

1 A1 – Take On Me :O === * *1st Week at No.1*Back in September 1985 one of the best products of Norway came aboutin the form of “A-Ha”. It made No.2.

Fifteen years later, a substandard boy-band came along and made a completehash in covering said tune.

This single is the 30th in a row to go straight in at No.1.

    Dominator’s Top 50 of 1999

    36. Moloko: Sing it Back

This made No.4 in September last year in a remix form after the originalstiffed at No.45 the previous March.

It was followed by The Time is Now (No.2, April 2000), anotheratmospheric track that deserved your attention and was beaten to No.1by Mel C’s Never Be the Same Again and more recently Pure Pleasure Seeker(No.21, August 2000), a definite foot-tapper with a video making it looklike they’re performing on “The Old Grey Whistle Test”, even going as far asto give back that hair to “Whispering” Bob Harris for a cameo.

    The end bit :

Well, that’s it for now. If you want to be added to the WidescreenVideo and Laserdisc lists, just mail me.

    Bye for now,

    Dominator
