Dominator’s Top 50 of 1998

11. Air – Sexy Boy

The first track from this French band made No.13 in February last year.It’s an excellent blend of ambient and electronic music that wouldn’t sound outof place in the early 80’s, and now is being used as the theme tune forChannel 4’s new gay drama, “Queer As Folk”, which doesn’t offend me in termsof content or language used, but that it is another programme in which peoplein bad or standard-paid jobs seem to have the lavish batchelor pads that onlypop stars could afford.

Air released two other singles last year, “Kelly Watch The Stars” (No.18, May)and “All I Need” (No.29, November).
