    15 Made In London – Dirty WaterMade in London is what you get when you create yet another girl band froma model, a backing singer and a girl from Jamaica. They write their own stuffbut that’s the best that can be said of yet another assault on the chartsfrom some brainless pop.

    3 Watergate – Heart of AsiaDance tune to a sped-up version of the theme tune to David Bowie’s film,Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.

    1 Britney Spears – Oops! I Did It Again :O === *1st Week at No.1*First single from her forthcoming same-titled album and it stinks. It’s moreof the same formula pop, which was fine the first time round but not when you’rejust releasing a rip-off of your first single.

    The endless repeat of a dreadful title doesn’t help either.

    This single is the 15th in a row to go straight in at No.1.

    19. Catatonia – Dead From The Waist DownMaking No.7 in April last year, this was the first single from their”Equally Cursed and Blessed” No.1 album, and isn’t the happiest of tunesbut then when are any of their tracks happy-happy songs?

    It was followed up by Londinium (No.20, July 99) in which”London never sleeps, it just sucks” and Karaoke Queen (No.36, Nov 99).
