37 Bis – Eurodisco * !!!The first time I heard this strange Japanese band they were singing “Candy Pop”and supporting Everything But The Girl at the Manchester Apollo. Now they’regoing the Republica route and if your feelings for their music will bereciprocated here. Alas, so does their recent sales figures.
13 Faith Hill – This KissCountry singer Faith Hill gets her first UK chart hit, and I think this oneis from a film but it shouldn’t be put down for that.
8 Eagle-Eye Cherry – Falling In Love Again *Follow-up to “Save Tonight”. Very good too, but a bit samey.
5 Queen with Wyclef Jean Genie and Prat Michel – Another One Bites The Dust :O ===Freddie Mercury must be spinning in his grave with crap like this proliferatingthe charts. Everyone who bought this tripe should be flogged… publically.
3 The Tamperer feat. Maya – If You Buy This Record Your Life Will Be Better :O ===Same goes for this too. If you thought a chant of “What’s she gonna look likewith a chimney on her” could not be beaten in the crapness stakes, then thetitle of this single wins the prize hands down.
In fact, it should have been renamed “If you buy this record you’ll havewasted a fiver”

46. Sparks vs. Faith No More – This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us
A bizarre band with more misses than hits, the Sparks hit No.2 with the originalof this in May 1974, and it remains as one of the best songs of all time, eventhough until I saw them on TV in 1994 I thought it was sung by a woman….
Apart from one other Top 10 hit, Beat The Clock (No.10, July 79), they’ve hadnothing else in the charts since the criminally ignored singles, “When I KissYou I Hear Charlie Parker Playing”, “Now That I Own The BBC”, “Number One SongIn Heaven” (No.70 in Oct last year) and the biggest of the bunch, “When Do IGet To Sing ‘My Way’ ?” (No.32, May 95 – reissue).
Yes the original of “This Town..” can’t be beaten, but this reworking certainlybeat everything else in the charts that week.
