Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…

36 POD – Youth of the Nation * !!!An excellent slice of American rock that deserves to be played loud andchanted down the street! This should be in the Top 10, as I’m getting a bitsick of the Nickelback track.

10 Russell Watson & Faye Tozer – Someone Like YouFaye from Steps goes upmarket with a classical music star, but the song’snot one for repeat listening.

5 Nigel & Marvin – Follow Da LeaderThe dance track that sounds like it’s been used on every Sky One “..Uncovered”TV series.

3 H & Claire – DJ :O ===The two from Steps do what sounds like a carbon-copy of S Club 7’s”Don’t Stop Movin”.

1 Ronan Keating – If Tomorrow Never Comes *1st Week at No.1*

A terrible cover version of a Garth Brooks track, and from someone I knowwho’s a big fan of his, Ronan’s completely murdered it.

This is the 10th single in a row to go straight in at No.1 :

  • 1. Aaliyah – More Than a Woman
  • 2. George Harrison – My Sweet Lord (R)
  • 3. Enrique Iglesias – Hero
  • 4. Westlife – World of Our Own
  • 5. Will Young – Anything is Possible/Evergreen
  • 6. Gareth Gates – Unchained Melody
  • 7. Oasis – The Hindu Times
