Saturday just gone, CD:UK said it was too close to call between Elvis and U2 so had abandoned telling uswho the No.1 was going to be. Is that because each time they’ve said Elvis and it hasn’t been on Sunday,this ‘advance chart’ is starting to get a bit embarrassing for them?
Instead they’ve played this dreary new song, which is just as throwaway as their last mess. It starts, thenit drifts along in an inoffensive manner, and then ends. Has absolutely nothing in it to make it stand out.
They’ve really stopped trying, haven’t they.
