New entries from No.41-75. See who missed out this time round :
And the career of the Steps-a-like band from Pete Waterman has basicallyended before it’s begun, with this single being disqualified from the charts, not because it’s shit but because it totals 10 seconds over the limit of asingle.
Quite why it stayed somewhere in the Top 75 this week is a mystery, though.
Makin’ its way out of the charts, soon, morelike.
Some people just deserve to be murdered. This week’s winners are this bunch, roping in whatwas left of the dignity of the Talksport radio presenters after they unceremoniously sackedTommy Boyd some time ago.
What’s so bad about it? It’s the way it mercilessly rapes the Dexy’s Midnight Runners 1982 No.1,Come On Eileen and either copies it word-for-word or shoehorns in words to do with thefootball, much as I’d like to take those fucking stupid England flags off cars and shoehornthem up the arses of the owners – sideways!
Oh, and England lost their first game. Can I be the first one to say, “Well done France!” ?
I Don’t Wanna Know
[Hurt No More]
A pointless rap to a backing beat from Enya’s Song of Boadicea, which was also usedby the Fugees’ equally-shit pretend-rap-that-didn’t-scan Ready Or Not (No.1, Sept 96)
This is the 5th new single to go straight in at No.1 in a row:
- 1. Usher – Yeah!
- 2. McFly – Five Colours in Her Hair
- 3. Eamon – Fuck It
- 4. Frankee – FURB (Fuck You Right Back)
