Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…

31 Jamiroquai – Corner of the EarthA smooth jazzy number, far better than either of the two songs listed belowand far more deserving of a Top 10 placing.

5 Bryan Adams – Here I AmJust when you thought the dull Canadian one had invested in originality, hegoes out to disappoint once again.

1 Gareth Gates – Anyone of Us *1st Week at No.1*

This went to No.1 because his record company, BMG, deleted the Elvis remixwhich would otherwise have kept Gareth at No.2.

About the track and it’s awful, sounding very much in places likethe Backpassage Boys “I Want It Up The Arse”

  • 1. Aaliyah – More Than a Woman
  • 2. George Harrison – My Sweet Lord (R)
