25 Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott featuring Lil’ Kim – Hit ’em wit Da Hee22 Nicole featuring Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott – Make It Hot
Missy Elliott is the biggest waste of space ever to enter the UK charts, soit’s a grave ‘Misdemeanor’ to buy her records, especially when two are releasedwithin the same week.
7 Sweetbox – Everything’s Gonna Be Alright :O ===Dreadful dance tune which bastardises “Air On A G-String”, the classical piecemade famous by the Hamlet cigar ads.
6 Simply Red – The Air That I Breathe *Am I going mad or am I warming to Simply Red’s records? I liked “Say You LoveMe” at first, then I hated it, and now I quite like it again.
This also is rather good and is a cover of the Hollies tune, which made No.2in February 1974.
4 Cleopatra – I Want You Back :O ===This song started off as a No.2 hit for The Jacksons in Jan 1970, beforebeing remixed and re-released in April 1988 when it made No.8.
Cleopatra’s third single is a cover, and one of the most pointless coverversions ever made. Like Louise’s “Let’s Go Round Again”, this cover soundsexactly like the original and there’s absolutely no point whatsoever in doinga cover of song and not changing it at all. Even the girls’ voices sound likethe high-pitched sound of the Jacksons making the whole charade worse.
3 Savage Garden – To The Moon And BackAfter the many copies sold of the boring ballad “Truly, Madly, Deeply”,this one is a bit more upbeat but not very interesting.
2 Stardust – The Music Sounds Better With You *A dance tune, apparently going down a storm in Ibiza, and one I actuallylike.
1 (1) Boyzone – No Matter What :O === *2nd Week at No.1*No matter what Boyzone seem to release it goes straight in at No.1 these days.Sometimes it’s not too bad, sometimes it really sucks and this one falls intothe latter category.
My girlfriend loves it but this twee ballad sung in a goody-goody style bymore than one member of the band just grates like hell!
