Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…

26 Lil Kim – In The Air ToniteDreadful cover of the Phil Collins track

20 (15) Staind – It’s Been A While *Still an excellent song, but did anyone see it on Top of the Pops lastweek? Okay, so it’s got some swearing in it, but they could’ve asked them tosubstitute the lyrics. As it was, they BLEEPED them out(!)

19 Manic Street Preachers – Let Robeson SingI couldn’t care less who Robeson is, but it makes for a rather dull songthat shouldn’t been left as an album track and not released as a single.

12 AllStars – Things That Go Bump In The NightITV’s answer to S Club 7, because they also have a TV series, release anothersingle and it’s crap.

4 N Trance – Set You FreeAgain?

1 DJ Otzi – Hey Baby :O === *1st Week at No.1*

A dire cover of someone’s old tune, but apparently this has been a Europeansmash hit. Can’t think why as it’s shite.

This is the 12th single in a row to go straight in at No.1 :

  • 1. DJ Pied Piper – Do You Really Like It
  • 2. Shaggy feat. Rayvon – Angel
  • 3. Moulin Rouge – Lady Marmalade

Dominator’s Top 50 of 2000

38. Moloko: The Time Is NowMaking No.2 in April last year, this is their biggest hit to date and stillstands up as a top dance track, but none of their other output should beignored.

It was succeeded by Pure Pleasure Seeker (No.21, Aug 2000), Indigo (No.51,Nov 2000). They also released an album, “Things to Make and Do”.
