4. Carleen Anderson – Maybe I’m AmazedMaking No.24 in February last year, the charts had not seen Carleen for threeyears, her last track in the charts being “Let It Last” (No.16, Jan 95), andshe returned with a cover of Paul McCartney‘s song which made No.28 inFebruary 1977.
I was a bit sceptical at first when I heard this as it’s one that I’ve neverheard played in the radio by Macca, so the one that will be played will bethis one, and if I didn’t like the cover version, then it would become veryirritating. Thankfully, it’s a very soulful version which is fantasticand received plenty of airplay, which makes it a shame it’s only made No.24.
