Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…

34 Tenacious D – WonderboyA comedy duo, one half of which is Jack Black, and I’m not sure whetherthey’re trying to be serious or not, as this is a more sombre effort, from whatI’ve heard, than their first single, Tribute.

8 Kylie Minogue – Come into my WorldA reasonable pop song, but far from something worth shouting about.

Dominator’s Top 50 of 2001The following is my look back at my Top 50 of 2001.

47. Super Furry Animals: Juxtaposed with U

Making No.14 in July last year, this seemed quite a bizarre choice for SFA,since it sounded far more soul/bluesy than I’d expect them to come out with.

They followed it up with the brilliant, but criminally short, “Rings Aroundthe World” (No.28, Oct 2001)
