(:O === the current all-time hate that makes even my smilie want to hurl!)
( (R) – Repeat., ie. a re-release)
A brief analysis on the current chart situation…
9 new entries :
Apparently this band, only on their second single, have now split up asfrontman Gregg Alexander wants to write and produce.
20 Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott ft MC Solaar – All N My GrillI bet it’s not as good as “Nouveau Western” 🙂
7 Tom Jones & The Cardigans – Burning Down the HouseCover version of the Talking Heads classic, but a bit lacking. It’ll sella few singles, raise the profile of both artists, then fall down the charts.
Tom Jones has a new album out on the 27th September, as he plugged on JerrySpringer’s one-off chat show two weeks ago, but these days they just don’t selland all he gets is one single out of it.
1 Eiffel 65 – Blue (Da Ba Dee) *1st Week at No.1*The third new No.1 in a row to shoot straight in at the top after beingreleased on import.
This is the 26th single to go straight in at No.1.
If anyone knows of a good site for new release info, please let me know

Dominator’s Top 50 of 1998
39. Peach – On My OwnI don’t know anything about the band, but this Dubstar-sounding single only madeNo.69 in January last year, to be followed by a couple of other flops later inthe year. Aside from that, the track was featured in an episode of BeverlyHills 90210 broadcast in the UK in January this year over the opening credits.
The end bit :
Well, that’s it for now. If you want to be added to the WidescreenVideo and Laserdisc lists, just mail me atCharts Request to tell me.
