Of this week’s highlights and lowlights…
35 OMD – The OMD Remixes :O ===Leading the way for the new ‘Best Of’ album which removes some of the trackson the 1991 ‘Best Of’ album and adds their last hit ‘Walking On The MilkyWay’ (apparently they were fed up with some of the old tunes, but for my moneyI’ll stick with the 1991 compilation), this single ‘updates’ some of the songsfor the 1990’s but from what I’ve heard it falls far short of the mark.
26 Silver Sun – I’ll See You Around *Another hit and very catchy too.
19 The Divine Comedy – Generation Sex * !!!First single from the new “Fin De Siecle” album and another excellent tunefrom Neil Hannon and the band which will be criminally ignored by the radiostations in favour of the crap that’s at the top.
1 (NEW) Melanie B featuring Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott – I Want You Back :O === *1st Week at No.1*Pregnant Spice Girl Mel B’s first solo single, and for which she teams up witha crap rapper, resulting in something which she probably likes, but just grateswith this video. The promo video features her husband, dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Making No.8 in November last year, when it first made the chart I hadn’theard it, but I later saw the promo video in full on Sky One of all placesduring their late-night ‘Sky One Long Play’ music slot, and quite an interestingvideo it was too.
The idea behind it is that it’s meant to be an anti-violence track and not onein which they’re inciting people to take the named action. However, neitherradio or TV took heed and were neither playing it or listing it by name. Whenthe Top 10 in The Chart Show appeared, no title was given, but just”The Prodigy”.
