    37 Dubstar – I (Friday Night)I’ve only heard this one and it was pretty good, certainly far betterthan most of the stuff that makes the charts these days.

    34 Nicki French – Don’t Play That Song AgainThis was our Eurovision entry which faltered at No.89 before the contest,completely lost us any chance of winning and is completely dreadful.

    33 Amore – Is That Your Final Answer?A dance version of the “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire theme” tune.

    29 Bentley Rhythm Ace – Theme From Gutbuster *A top dance track that gets at least one play an hour on MTV2.

    22 Chelsea Football Club – Blue Tomorrow…and it was for them.

    15 The Charlatans – ImpossibleNot a bad track, but not particularly outstanding.

    14 Madasun – Walking on WaterLike Made in London, another three-girl-band, this one with a better tuneand one singer who’s a Sam Janus-a-like.

    This track’s had plenty of airplay, so No.14 is a disappointingly low entry.Can their next single perform better?

    Dominator’s Top 50 of 1999

    21. DJ Jurgen presents Alice Deejay – Better off AloneMaking No.4 in July last year, this was one of those dance tunes, like ATB’s“9pm (Till I Come)”, which focused more on the tune than the lyrics andwas also a tune that I heard many-a-time without knowing who it was, but thentelling me wouldn’t have made much impact anyway.

    A combination of a dance beat, minimal lyrics and a tune that sounds like acar alarm on the fritz and you’re all set for a Top 5 hit.

    It was followed up by the dull and insipid Back in My Life (No.5,Dec 99) with monotonous, flat lyrics.
