43. REM – The Great BeyondMaking No.3 in Feb last year, one of the singles-of-the-week went to thisfor this track from the film about Taxi’s Andy Kaufman who is no longer withus and is portrayed by Jim Carrey.
REM prove that Michael Stipe could sing the phone book’s contents and it wouldstill be interesting, as this song includes something so bizarre as “pushingan elephant up the stairs”.
