Boston’s most talented and eccentric lawyers are back in the final season of the darkly comic, multi award-winning legal drama Boston Legal. Set in Boston law firm Crane, Poole and Schmidt, Boston Legal tells the professional and personal stories of a group of brilliant but emotionally challenged lawyers. Emmy® Award winners James Spader (Crash) and William Shatner (Star Trek) play Alan Shore and Denny Crane, unlikely kindred spirits among the brigade of high-priced litigators, while Shirley Schmidt (played by five-time Emmy® winner Candice Bergen), a founding partner of the firm, brings order to the chaotic office.
Boston Legal Season 5 includes special appearances from past cast members including Rene Auberjonois (Paul Lewiston) and Betty White (Catherine Piper). The season begins with a court case against a large tobacco company, which is being defended by Alan’s old flame Phoebe Prentice (Alley Walker; Tell Me You Love Me). Further lawsuits ensue against pharmaceutical companies, the armed forces and the government, while personal stories of illness, financial problems and romance are unveiled, keeping viewers glued to every episode of the gripping final season.
Created by David E. Kelley, Boston Legal Season 5 on DVD contains all 13 episodes released as a four disc box-set, and a host of special features including 11 deleted scenes and a 12 minute ‘closing statement’. See Boston’s finest attorneys try to hold together some semblance of order in court this May, as they battle it out both in the office and the courtroom for the very last time.
