- 3.Columbo often refers to his wife Mrs Columbo; however she has never been seen on screen leaving fans to speculate as to her actual existence.
- 4.Mrs Columbo was actually made into a TV series in the late 70s which won its lead a Golden Globe®. However many fans argue that the series was not linked in anyway and the character was married to another detective who happened to be called Columbo.
- 5.Columbo prefers to drive his 1959 Peugeot 403 convertible.
- 6.Johnny Cash, Dick Van Dyke, Billy Connolly, Faye Dunaway and William Shatner have all played murderers on the show and Leslie Nielson once played one of the murder victims.
