Disney Think Fast is a fast playing, fun, family orientated quiz game which can be played by a single player or multiple players alike. The game itself follows the form of a TV quiz game show and takes place in a studio based around one of a number of locations from Disney films. Presiding over the whole competition will be the Genie from Aladdin who will serve as the games host. With his larger than life personality, magical abilities, comic nature and selection of silly voices, the Genie is perfect to keep the players both entertained and suitably instructed.
Disney Think Fast is played in a virtual television studio. However the studio can be in one of a number of different locations. These locations are all based on particular locations seen in Disney films. Thus the Jungle Book location has the studio in the jungle and the Hercules level has its studio in the mists of Mount Olympus and so on. In addition to the studio styling, the location will also determine the special guest star who will appear later in the game and the questions he asks the players. Both the guest star and the questions he brings to ask the players will be taken from the same film as the chosen location, for example if the players choose the Jungle location then King Louie will be the guest star and will ask questions about the Jungle Book.
Once the players have chosen the location then the game will begin.
The Genie will now take the role of an exuberant game show host. He will introduce the studios location with a few jokes and, in some instances, even a song and dance routine. Then he will start the game.
Disney Think Fast will be structured into a series of rounds. At the start of each round, the Genie will explain how to play and the scoring mechanisms involved. The Genie will then hand over to the Question Master who will read the questions to the players.
While the Genie serves as the host for the game, giving introductions, instructions and commentating on the scores and how well the players are doing, the one thing he doesnt do is actually ask the questions. This is a vocal role that needs to be clear, measured and easy to understand and as this is not a role in which the Genie would excel, a separate question master is used instead. His calm measured tones will provide a contrast with the manic nature of the Genie, as well as leaving the Genie free for more suitable in-game comments.
The game rounds themselves will use various different types of questions as well as different answering techniques and scoring systems. Some rounds will allow players to choose the categories of questions. Others will require the players to listen to music or watch movie clips and then ask questions about them. Further rounds will include True or False rounds, spotting the Odd One Out as well as the special Wish upon A Star themed round featuring the special guest star. Most rounds will award players who get correct answers, while some will reward only the quickest, some will penalize those who get the questions wrong and some will allow a winner to steal points from another player. As players get questions right, wrong and both score and lose points, the Genie will pass comments on the changing fortunes of the players keeping them all both amused and informed.
At the end of each round, the Genie will show the players how theyre doing on the rank screen, offering congratulations and encouragement where needed. At the end of the game, the players will all appear together on the studios central
