When psychology student, Sarah Morris (Erin Cahill), witnesses the alleged suicide of her roommate, it sets into motion a series of horrific events that cause her to fear the supernatural entity. As she tries to convince the rest of her dorm that the Boogeyman does exist, the evil force grows stronger and her friends begin to pay the price. Now she must stop this ultimate evil before the entire campus falls prey.
Directed by Gary Jones (Ghouls, Xenophobia, Spiders), Boogeyman 3 is produced by Andrew Pfeffer (Messengers, Messengers 2, Grudge 3, Bangkok Dangerous), and executive produced by J.R. Young (Messengers 2, Grudge 3) and Steve Hein.
Sarah (Erin Cahill) is a psychology student who hosts a late night radio show with her lecturer. Her life undergoes a drastic change after she witnesses the horrific sight of her best friend, Audrey (Nikki Sanderson) being strangled to death by a monster (aka The Boogeyman). With all around her assuming that Audrey had committed suicide, only Sarah knows exactly what has happened.
She realises the legend of Boogeyman as told by Audrey before her death might be real after all, but none of her friends believe the myth. Until those who suspect the possible existence of Boogeyman start to go missing from their dorms, and Sarah knows she has to do something drastic.
In her vivid nightmares, her friends are murdered in the most horrific ways possible, but their bodies are never found. Everyone thinks Sarah is paranoid.
When Sarah’s lecturer and her friend David end up getting murdered after believing her stories, she begins to realise the evil plan that Boogeyman has in store for everyone. The more people fear the legend, the stronger and more powerful Boogeyman becomes.
Standing by David’s corpse, while the policemen barge in the room and the students stare with horror, murmuring “Boogeyman did it,” Sarah knows she has to make a sacrifice. By admitting herself as the killer, Sarah hopes the curse will stop once and for all.
But nothing is quite what it seems. . .
