The White Planet is an extraordinary documentary that examines the impact that global warming is having on the adorable, yet endangered denizens of the North Pole. Featuring astonishing cinematography often at breathtaking proximity, the filmmakes stars of the local wildlife who prove themselves to be as idiosyncratic, funny and charming as anything that the IceAge films could come up with seals with inflatable nostrils, giant walruses with unicorn-like horns (the narwhals) andhalf a million caribou who make up the worlds second largest yearly migration but only if the weather report is promisingenough.
Extras: Making of – the Film, Making of – the Music, Interviews with the director, cinematographer and other crew members, Original theatrical trailer and teaser trailer.
The White Planet was released on November 3rd, it runs for 86 mins (with extras running for 127 mins) andretails for £19.99 on DVD but is currently on Amazon at the link above for £9.98.
