Be careful what you wish for

Discover a whole ‘other’ world with the fantastical adventure of Coraline, available on 3D and 2D DVD and Blu-ray from 12th October 2009. Based on the best-selling children’s novel by Neil Gaiman, Coraline is a wonderfully strange fairytale with incredible and surreal animation, brought to life in 3D! Directed by the innovative Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Coraline will have you transfixed from start to finish. As the world’s first stop-motion movie to be specifically filmed in 3D, grab your special glasses and Coraline will make you feel part of her world and is certain to give you the spooks this Halloween!

Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning – Charlotte’s Web) is an inquisitive young girl, with a vivid imagination. Living in her new house with her stressed-out mother (Terri Hatcher – Desperate Housewives) and pre-occupied father (John Hodgman – Baby Mama), Coraline becomes bored and fed up with her new life. Even with a new (but annoying!) friend Wybie (Robert Bailey Jr – The Happening) to keep her busy, Coraline dreams of excitement and adventure far away from her ordinary life. Little does she know that what she thinks she is looking for exists just on the other side of an ordinary looking door…

Coraline discovers a spellbinding parallel world, with alternate and fantastic versions of everything and everyone Coraline knows, but with one major difference – they all have peculiar, large black buttons for eyes! Mesmerised by this extraordinary place, Coraline’s curiosity gets the better of her and she can’t help going back time and again, unable to resist the allure of the alter-egos of bizarre Russian acrobat Mr Bobinsky (Ian McShane – Kung Fu Panda), outlandish retired actresses Miss Spink (Jennifer Saunders – Absolutely Fabulous) and Miss Forcible (Dawn French – The Vicar Of Dibley) and the strange talking cat (Keith David – Behind Enemy Lines), an unlikely friend for our unlikely heroine.

Relishing the attention of her warm and attentive Other Mother and Father, Coraline’s heart is oblivious to the danger lurking just around the corner. With Coraline beginning to love her Other Mother and Father as much as her own, things start to take a sinister turn and Coraline realises that everything and everyone in her new world are not what they say or appear to be. Can Coraline figure out what is in front of her own eyes and escape this remarkable world she has found herself in?

An extraordinary and captivating tale, Coraline will enthral and entertain everyone who sees it. grab your 3D glasses and enjoy the remarkable 3D animation, and really feel like you are part of the movie! Coraline is available to own and rent on 3D and 2D DVD and Blu-ray from 12th October 2009.
