Network is delighted to announce the first ever DVD release of SHELLEY THE COMPLETE FOURTH SERIES (12) on 22nd June 2009, RRP £12.99.
Hywel Bennett (Pennies from Heaven, EastEnders) is perfectly cast as the cynical, highly educated skiver James Shelley in this hit ITV sitcom. In this fourth series, Shelley is finally waking up to the spectre of permanent employment despite Maggies cutbacks. He is determined to savour his last moments of freedom before submitting to a life of daily grind and monotony of his new job at the Foreign Office. He does so by keeping his head down much to wife Frans annoyance. As he signs off, apparently for the last time, he finds that life has a few shocks in store for him still
Created and written by Peter Tilbury (Sorry Im A Stranger Here Myself), Shelley was one of ITVs longest running sitcoms lasting for ten series over thirteen years and receiving a BAFTA nomination for Best Comedy Series in 1981.This set contains all six episodes of the fourth series complete and uncut.
The DVD is released on June 22nd, it runs for 150 mins and retails for £12.99 on DVD,but is currently on Amazon at the link above for £8.48.
