ACORN MEDIA is delighted to announce the DVD release of the fantastic ITV sit-com Bonkers.
This hilarious comedy created by Sally Wainwright (At Home With The Braithwaites) and starring top Britishacting talent was broadcast on ITV1 at peak time earlier this year, attracting in excess of 5 million viewers.
This six-part, highly entertaining series stars Liza Tarbuck (Linda Green) as likeable forty-somethingschoolteacher, Helen, who is married to struggling soap writer Tony, played by Mark Addy (The Full Monty).Lynda Bellingham (At Home With The Braithwaites, The Bill) also makes an appearance.PThe full series of Bonkers will be available to buy as a two-disc DVD set on 10 September 2007.
During the party for their 20th wedding anniversary, Helen’s life is thrown into turmoil when an ex-pupilannounces that Tony has been having an affair. Meanwhile, Helen’s neighbours and family are having relationshipproblems and emotional traumas of their own.
As Helen’s marriage appears to be in tatters, somehow something “bonkers” happens and she is delighted tofind herself living with film star Felix Nash, who does not exactly feel the same way. What ensues is a riotoustale of the inner-workings of relationships, sex and the misunderstandings that occur between neighbours,friends and family, as the sexual habits of suburbia are laid bare.
