Donning yellow trousers and mounting a shiny red engine, Monte Cristotoday announced the release of Fire Department for PC for November 2002.

Fire Department allows players the chance to experience what life isreally like as a fire fighter. As captain of their own fire departments, players will be able to choose and train their team of specialists how tofight fires, develop their stress resistance in emergency situations and, most importantly, how to survive emergency call-outs intact.

Fire Department offers six distinct jobs including the basic fireman, whoreduces the size of fires and breaks obstacles using an axe; the nurse, who transports the injured away from the scene of the fire; the engineers, who closes gas valves and works on all complex mechanical objects; thecommandos, who infiltrate the most inaccessible areas; thedesincarcerators, who overcome the most difficult of obstacles and, lastbut not least, the protective clothing specialists.

In addition to the men themselves, Fire Department captains can alsochoose their vehicles and equipment, in order to overcome obstaclesblocking their way and find a strategic point of entry to extinguish thefire more rapidly. Fire Department houses all the shiny red hardware youwould expect in a real fire department including the Aerial, the Pumper, the Mini Pumper, the Water Tower, the Tanker, the Medic Master and theWildland Xtrem.

Fire Department features 10 spectacular missions inspired from real lifeevents, including explosions at service stations, petrochemical complexes,inner-city fires, warehouse fires and earthquakes.
