ATARI’S STUNTMAN JOINS THE PLAYSTATION 2 “PLATINUM” COLLECTION
Top-Selling PlayStation(R)2 Driving Game Earns Its Place Among PlayStation 2System’s Elite
Atari have announced that Stuntman(TM) for the PlayStation 2 computerentertainment system, will be relaunched as part of Sony Computer EntertainmentEurope’s “Platinum” range this summer. To be eligible for the specialcollection, each game must be available at retail for more than nine monthsand boast sales in excess of 500,000 units.
Developed by Infogrames’ own Reflections Interactive Limited, the companybehind the best-selling Driver(tm) series, Stuntman thrusts players intoHollywood-style action films, completing death-defying stunts for a series ofmovies and building a career to become an A-list stunt driver. After completinga series of stunts for each movie, players can watch a full-motion video trailerfor the film that includes their gameplay stunts spliced in. Top stunt driverswill unlock bonus items, such as jumps, burning hoops and stacked vehicles thatcan be used in the game’s fully customisable “Stunt Arena.”
Stuntman “Platinum” edition for PlayStation 2 is expected to ship June 13.

The PlayStation 2 Hit Jumps, Crashes and Rolls Onto Handheld With Amazing Graphics, Addictive Gameplay
Atari is bringing all of the action and intrigue of the Hollywood stuntman tothe Nintendo Game Boy(r) Advance with Stuntman(r), the handheld follow-up tothe smash PlayStation(r) 2 computer entertainment system hit of the same name.
Developed by the same team that created the graphically amazing V-Rally(tm) 3for Game Boy Advance, Stuntman is scheduled for release in June 2003.
Stuntman thrusts players into the middle of Hollywood-style action-packedfilms, challenging gamers to complete death-defying stunts in a series of sixblockbuster films. In their quest to build a career as an A-list stunt driver,players will travel to movie sets around and complete each stunt with absoluteprecision or face the wrath of a disappointed director. By completing stunts,the player earns money and moves on to bigger and better gigs. Top stuntdrivers will unlock bonus items, such as jumps, burning hoops and stackedvehicles that can be used in the game’s fully customisable “Stunt Arena.”
The game includes two main modes of play, Career and Arena. In Career, playerswill move from film to film, building their reputation as a top Hollywood stuntmanand unlocking additional levels and other extras. Arena mode challenges gamerswith a stadium style stunt show, including precision driving tests and jumpingtrials. Arena mode also features linked play for multiplayer gaming. Tenhigh-performance and unique vehicles will be at the player’s disposal for morethan 20 stunts, including American muscle cars, ordinary street vehicles andthe Bangkok-inspired Tuk-Tuk.
Stuntman for Game Boy Advance continues the successful Stuntman franchise byproviding gamers with an action/driving experience never before seen on ahandheld console. The game incorporates fresh game situations and 3D environmentsrendered with even more detail than the graphically groundbreaking V-Rally 3for Game Boy Advance.
