Tacoma FREE! Next Up Hero FREE! On PC!
Yes, it’s time for some more free games. As it’s Thursday, it’s another free game day on the Epic Games Store, except that there’s two!
First up is Tacoma, a first-person adventure on a space station from Fullbright, first out in August 2017. The other game is Next Up Hero, which was released in January 2018 by Digital Continue and Aspyr Media.
This games launch at 4pm today. But how to claim these games?
First up: what are these games about?
Tacoma:
- An Abandoned Space Station. A Mysterious AI. And You. The crew of Lunar Transfer Station Tacoma were going about their workaday lives when disaster threw them into chaos. Discover what fate awaits them in Fullbright’s bold and innovative followup to Gone Home.

Next Up Hero :
- This is a dungeon crawler featuring hand-drawn heroes that hack, slash, bongo-drum, boomerang, and jet their way through Ventures. Choose your Hero and start rolling dungeons, gearing out, and maxing your stats.
So, how to claim these games for free?
For both of them: Bring up the Epic Games Launcher (available from epicgames.com if you haven’t got it already), then go to Store, and you’ll see he game. Below the trailer and information about it, you’ll see the word ‘Get’ where the price is. Then, when the next screen comes up, click on ‘Place Order’… even though it’s free, then “I agree”. Along the way, it may also ask if you want to give your email address to the makers of the game for their mailing list, but this is a choice, rather than a requirement.
All three expire on July 30th at 4pm UK time.
