The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks centres around the titular character (played by Renée Elise Goldsberry), an African-American woman who becomes an unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s.
Directed by George C Wolfe, based on the book by Rebecca Skloot, the film also stars Rose Byrne, Courtney B Vance and Oprah Winfrey, this film does nothing for me at all.
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks comes to HBO on April 22nd.
