The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun is a film I didn’t realise at first was originally made in 1970 with Samantha Eggar and Oliver Reed. This time round, Freya Mavor (right) plays the lady in question, Dany Dorému, and it’s based on the novel La Dame dans l’auto avec des lunettes et un fusil, written by Sébastien Japrisot.
Dany is a woman who is implicated in a crime she knows nothing about and must find out about to prove she is innocent.
The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun is directed by Joann Sfar and also stars Benjamin Biolay, Michel Caravaille, Stacy Martin and Elio Germano, and is already out in France but hasn’t yet got a UK release date. I am intrigued, however.
