Pick of the week: THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN
THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN will street on December 16th inseperate anamorphic widescreen (2.40:1) and fullscreen versions. Extrasinclude deleted scenes and fetaurettes.
- Pick of the Week: While brutally beaten and left for dead by thecritics, I thought this film was alright, nothing great, but a fun time.
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON and FIREFLY: THECOMPLETE SERIES will street on December 9th. BUFFY will have plenty ofextras and is presented in fullscreen while FIREFLY is 1.78:1widescreen.
- Excitement Factor: 5 out of 10. Eh, Buffy is a piece of garbage to mebut Firefly might be worth checking out.

DISNEY
SPY KIDS 3D: GAME OVER will street on March 2. No info is known but I doknow for sure that will be 3D on DVD.
- Excitement Factor: 8 out of 10. The 3D element was cool at theaters,let’s hope it works at home.
FREAKY FRIDAY (2003) will street on December 16th. No real info is knownbut expect plenty of extras… and of course seperate anamorphicwidescreen and fullscreen versions.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND and POCAHONTAS will street as special editions onJanuary 27th. No specs are known at this point but they’ll beforthcoming down the grapevine.
- Excitement Factor: 3 out of 10. These are the worst of the animatedclassics in my opinion.
MY BOSS’ DAUGHTER will street on February 3rd to a wanting populationof zero.
- Excitement Factor: — out of 10. There is not a low enought number in theworld to describe my hatred for this film.
LIONS GATE
Guillermo Del Toro (Blade II, Hellboy)’s classic CRONOS is coming to DVDon October 14th. Extras are plentiful and retail is $19.95.
- Excitement Factor: 7 out of 10. This is a cool movie.
UNIVERSAL
AMERICAN WEDDING will street on January 2nd in Rated anamorphicwidescreen (2.35:1) and fullscreen versions…. and in unrated “ExtendedParty Scenes” editions also in full and widescreen versions. Geez, fourversions, give me a break. Extras TBA.
- Excitement Factor: 0 out of 10. Teen movies suck and this one proves it.
SEABISCUIT will street on December 16th in seperate anamorphic widescren(2.35:1) and fullscreen versions. Extras TBA.
- Excitement Factor: 7 out of 10. The movie’s good but this was the lastmovie my girlfriend and I saw… then she dumped me… so I kind of have apersonal hatred for this film.
RUMOURS
Not much to note now since the big titles have all been announced.
- ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO is rumored to street on January 13th.
- UNDERWORLD is rumored to street on January 27th.
