Lady Bird centres around Christine ‘Lady Bird’ McPherson (Saoirse Ronan – Brooklyn, Hanna), who gave herself the titular nickname, and has a simple premise that it follows the adventures of a young woman living in Northern California for a year.
Based on the trailer, Christine is too similar in character to her mother, so no wonder they fall out… I have experience of this 😉
Plus, Saoirse is usually a safe bet for a good film, so while it looks a bit sickly sweet and/or twee, I will check this out.
Lady Bird is released in the US on November 10th, but as of yet there’s no UK date.
