Alan Partridge 2025: How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge) – Yes, if Steve Coogan can come up with a SEO-unfriendly title, I’ll add in what people are ACTUALLY searching for!
Four years on from This Time With Alan Partridge Series 2, and Alan’s having to resort to corporate work, including shilling for a ready meal company, but he’s slowly losing the plot. Hence, he thinks he needs to make a programme about mental health.
The strange thing about this is that I watched it, but while I got some slight amusement from it, but only a few slight laughs and but certainly no belly laughs. Some examples include how he agrees with taking the knee, but can’t do it on the advice of his physio.
Meanwhile, as he addresses a crowd of people, with Alan Parsons Project’s Sirius in the background (the track before Eye In The Sky), but passes out because “I only had one Weetabix, this morning”; and his narration refers to Katrina (Katherine Kelly – The Hack), “My partner is one of the fittest women over 40 in Norfolk”.
There’s also a brief chat with Sidekick Simon (Tim Key – The Ballad of Wallis Island), as they meet for the first time since he stopped working at North Norfolk Digital, and discuss some unresolved issues. Plus, as an aside, the man who works in the soup kitchen also runs a franchise of Specsavers! Well, according to that advert, anyway…
However, since this isn’t amazing, it just feels rather unnecessary, and I got more laughs out of the brief crowdfunding spoof, below.
Now, what I WOULD like, is for Lynn to get a separate mini-documentary about going to Skibereen!!!!
