My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of ALL HER FAULT on SKY ATLANTIC!

All Her Fault All Her Fault opens with Marissa Irvine (Sarah SnookPieces of a Woman) coming to pick up her son, Milo, from a playdate, but there’s no Milo there. She also can’t get hold of Jenny Kaminski (Dakota FanningCoraline 3D), who sent her a text about collecting him from there…

…yet when the time comes to ask the question face-to-face, Jenny knows nothing about it. Plus, Milo can’t be with his friend, Jacob, because Jacob’s with his nanny; and the owner of the house that Marissa’s been told to get to, hasn’t a Scooby about any of it!

So, who picked Milo up? Where is he?

Cue the angst-ridden parents – Marissa and husband Peter (Jake LacySignificant Other), some flashbacks to happier times, police getting involved and hinting at financial irregularities, and we have a drama which drip-feeds the info to us, but it’s soooooooo slow-moving. It’s like one of those Netflix Korean dramas which ramble on at least twice as long as they need to.

It also treads some very well-worn paths, such as asking: Is someone having an affair? PLaying away from home? Or is it just a misunderstanding? And given that a lot of this is “rich people’s problems”, it’s just told in such an unengaging way.

So, some decent cast members, but a script that’s a flat as a pancake that’s escaped under the oven, and found 3 months later, and I’m not fussed whether Milo turns up, or whether he’s been abducted by aliens and had a close encounter.

I could mention some character names that come up, because I remember the actor/actress in such and such a show/film, but I won’t, to avoid spoilers. Obvs.

The trailer does throw you a bone as to where Milo might be and/or who with, but I would just say that if the premise grabs you, then avoid watching the trailer in advance.

All Her Fault beings tonight/tomorrow on Sky Atlantic, at 2am UK time, with the episode being shown again at 9pm that evening. This equates to 9pm US time. In the US, it’s shown on Peacock.

It’s not yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD, but when it is, it will be listed on the New DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K releases UK page.
