Ash vs Evil Dead proves that TV is the new ‘movies’ these days, since a lot of great stuff is ending up on the tellybox while the big screen is full of dross like Terminator Genisys and Ted 2.
Bruce Campbell returns as Ash, who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, leaving Ash as mankind’s only hope.
He must attach his chainsaw and pick up his trusty boomstick one more time, all while finally coming to terms with his past… although if this does become a hit then it’ll run and run and run. And it’s got to be better than 2013’s Evil Dead remake, surely!
Sam Raimi co-writes and co-directs the series which also stars Mimi Rogers, Jill Marie Jones, Dana DeLorenzo, Hemky Madera, Ray Santiago and Lucy Lawless!
Ash vs Evil Dead looks awesome and premieres on US network Starz on October 31st, and will no doubt be on a UK network soon after. Probably one of those internet streaming ones.
