Big Brother 3

Big Brother 3Broadcast daily on Channel 4 and E4
July 27th : contestantKate wins Big Brother 3

Last night Kate won BB3 with over 3 million votes, Jonny was second with2.25 million, Alex third with 2 million and Jade fourth with 1.4 million.

Kate was interviewed in the house and was shown on the plasma screen thereason for the kitchen bin leaking with a liquid – Sandy pissed in it on themorning he left. When asked who she fancied most in the house, she said forlooks it was Spencer, but for personality it was Jonny. Outside it was clearher affections were more for Jonny.

contestantWhen Jonny came out of the house, he was played the clip of Sandy proclaiming,”Actually, I didn’t like you”, and if given the chance to reply freely Jonnywould’ve said, “Fuck off, you Scottish boring bastard!”. Sandy wasn’t therelast night. Apparently it’s because he wanted to be “enigmatic”. On a morepositive note, his face was a picture when showed the clip of Dustin Hoffmanimpesonating him when appearing on “V Graham Norton” on Thursday night.

Both Alex and Jade laughed at their best moments clips, while Jade’s facesaid it all when she found out that her biggest celebrity fan was GrahamNorton, plus even Johnny Depp was rooting for her!

Tonight at 10pm on Channel 4 is a highlights show of the past week’s eventswith “unseen footage” and on Sunday is a final “Big Brother’s Little Brother”where all the housemates are reunited again (presumably, still without Sandy)and awards are handed out for the best moments in the house. It’s on E4 at7pm, repeated on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Who will win Big Brother 3 tonight?

It’s going to be a close call, but I’m predicting that Alex will win,Kate will be second, Jonny third and Jade last.

Big Brother’s Little Brother is on tonight at 7pm on E4, followed by thefirst Big Brother final on Channel 4 at 8.30pm when the fourth-placed housematewill leave. Then at 10pm comes the 90-minute second part of the final in whichthe last three will be decided.

July 21st : contestantAn eggsciting task…

Last night, in their final live task, the housemates had to take it in turns to complete a short obstaclecourse whilst blindfolded and guided by the rest. They would begin with ashopping budget of £25, then would have to negotiate the course of atunnel, small steps and a bench, before picking up an egg and bringing it backto the table at the other end, then placing it in an egg-cup. Each eggsuccessfully retrieved would get them an extra £25.

They got 9 eggs across, so plus the £25 brought them £250.

Then came the second part of the task…

The housemates had to bet on an egg-and-spoon race with the ex-housematesPJ, Spencer, Sophie and Lee, running a length outside the BB house. They bet £50 on Sophie being the winner and prepared to watch therace on the plasma screen.

Lee dropped his egg early on, PJ and Spencer dropped theirs just before crossingthe line so only Sophie crossed still with the egg, so at odds of 3-1 theyadded £150 to their shopping budget, making a total of £400.

With just four people left in the house, the winner will be decided on Fridaynight when all four people are chucked out, but in reverse order of who youhave voted to win.

July 20th : contestantTim has left the building

Last night at 10pm, Tim left the house after receiving 82% of the votes toboos aplenty, although he appeared to handle it well by playing up to thecrowd as he walked down the stairs. He admitted he was ginger, but either wayhe got a less than responsive response from his other half, Johanna.Expect to see him on Big Brother’s Little Brother, C4 1.50pm on Sunday(repeated E4, 7pm).

Highlight of the interview was a montage of clips to the tune of Bill Withers'”Just the Two of Us” which appeared to portray Alex and Tim as the gayestcouple of all time, the best bit being when Tim walked into bedroom 2 witha glass of wine, just as Alex opened the door and the footage was slowed downas he smiled while shutting the door after Tim walked in.

Two people up for eviction this Friday!

The two up for eviction this Friday are Tim & Alex. The other three nominated them both each, while Jade and Jonny got two voteseach. Kate got none.

I think we can safely assume it’s “Goodbye Tim”, unless he walks beforethen, perhaps between 9-10pm on Friday, crying “Mummy!” at the backdoor!

  • Alex: Jade (“She’s been lying about what people have said, and there was one time when she said to me ‘Kate didn’t know why you didn’tpick her, but it was her doing the choices, she wouldn’t have chosen me either’,then Kate told me this wasn’t true”) andJonny (“When we had the puppet show, we were told do to the puppetshow based on memorable events in the house, and as far as I am concerned,me having a go at him for urinating in the shower was not a memorable event, especially when afterwards it was to show what happened in here, we weresupposed to shake hands and he was like “Oh no, I don’t want to shake yourhand. I’m a model”, so to speak, and I thought this was blatantly takingthe piss.”)
  • Jade: Tim (“I don’t have anything in common with him, andsometimes when I speak to him I feel he isn’t interested in what I’vegot to say, so I’d rather speak to people who are interested in what I’vegot to say”) andAlex (“He tends to snap at me quite a bit, and I’d rather not be leftin the house with someone like that. I wanna have fun and he needs to loosenup a little bit. Ooh, what awful reasons!”)
  • Jonny (started saying “With the group being so small I haven’t gotany issues with anybody”): Tim (“I know he’s had a bad week this week, but he’s been quite dull, sitting about waiting for Big Brother to give tasksto do, and at the end of the day it’s what you make of it in here”) andAlex (“He can be uptight, eg. on Saturday night when we suggested wegive Tim the phone call, he got arsey about it, saying we don’t have the rightto force anyone to take the call, when Tim was wetting himself to get it, hewas dead excited.”)
  • Kate: Tim (“After Saturday night, he made a point of sayingthat he set himself a target of coming into the BB house and that when he gothere he didn’t care how long he stayed, whereas I feel that Jade, Alex andJonny would rather stay till the end”) andAlex (“He needs to lighten up and takes things too seriously in hereand I can relate to him the least in here”)
  • Tim: Jade (“No-one really knows what she thinks of him, andyou hear a lot of stuff that’s not very nice, but then to your face she’ll bereally nice. I don’t know if she’s playing a game but it doesn’t really seemfair on anyone”) andJonny (“I like him as a person when he’s been himself, but he spendstoo much time putting on an act and that’s really transparent now and a realshame”)

July 14th : contestantTim gets a phone call

Last night’s task involved each of the housemates being asked 3 questionsabout the other remaining housemates, with each correct answer being worth£25 towards the week’s shopping budget. They answered 8 questions correctso will get a budget of £200.

Afterwards, they had to discuss as a group who they thought was the mostdeserving housemate to receive a phone call from a loved one, the call lastingfive seconds for each correct answer – so 40 seconds long, with no use ofrandom selection. Tim was chosen because he thought he saw his girlfriend onthe video screen last week when PJ and Kate received personal messages andBig Brother refused to confirm whether Tim saw her because the message wasn’tfor him. Tim said he thought Jonny should be in line for the call becausehe’s been a bit down lately.

Tim spoke to his Mum for 40 seconds and she said that Johanna (his girlfriend)sent her love, so he knows things are okay there. Not that anyone forced himto enter the bloody house at gunpoint and if he thought there were problemswith his relationship when he went in then he shouldn’t have gone in.

Unlike last week’s task, the nominations will have no bearing on last night’sevents and this week will see the final week of nominations, since in the finalweek there will be four of them up for the public vote.

July 13th : contestantPJ has left the building

Last night at 10pm, PJ left the house after receiving 81% of the votes torapturous applause and very little booing. He denied sleeping with Jade ordoing anything other than kissing, but it was obvious he was lying.Expect to see him on Big Brother’s Little Brother, C4 1.35pm on Sunday(repeated E4, 7pm).

contestantThere’s been no other updates on here in the past week because absolutelysod all has happened. The nominations were ditched after last Saturday’sso-called ‘task’ and the only slight item of interest was when they playeddrinking games one night and Jade stripped off, but that was pretty gross.

Alternatively, have Tim and Alex begun to see each other in a new light??

Two people up for eviction this Friday!

The bars came down last night, but at what price?

The price was that two of the housemates would get to see personal messagesfrom their family displayed on the plasma TV screen, but that would makethem eligible for the public vote this Friday.

Tim marked chocolate on six pieces of paper and everyone picked one, thosegetting the marked ones being Kate and PJ, hence they saw a message from theirfamilies, hence they’re up for the chop this Friday. However, when Jonny sawhis Dad on the video, because all the families were in the same room together,he panicked saying “Oh no, they’ve got the wrong one!”.

I think we can safely assume it’s “Goodbye PJ”.

July 6th : contestantAdele has left the building

Last night at 10pm, Adele left the house after receiving 62% of the votes.Expect to see her on Big Brother’s Little Brother, C4 1.50pm on Sunday(repeated E4, 7pm).

She said she didn’t mind being booed on her exit as she said that meant peoplewere being honest.

Of the other votes, Jade got 36%, with Kate and Jonny receiving a mere 1%apiece.

FOUR people up for eviction this Friday!

The four up for eviction this Friday are Adele, Jade, Jonny & Kate.Everyone nominated mouthy Jade, while the others garnered two votes apiece.I’m not bothering with the poll again as not enough people use it.

  • Adele: Jade (“I feel I can’t trust her, am aware of the amountof backstabbing she’s been doing and I feel that I’ll be next in line. She’sbeen going round the group, lining everybody up so everybody shoots everybodyelse and she’s left out”) andJonny (“He still annoys me and I still feel I can’t trust him”)
  • Alex: Jade (“I know she’s been, so to speak, shit-stirring.She’ll say, when I’ve been outside, explaining that she thinks Jonny’s anarsehole and Kate’s pissing her off and then she’ll go over to Jonny and saythings that myself and Adele have apparently done and this is not true”) andJonny (“When we were all on the poor side, and Tim on the rich side, word was out that we should rebel and go and stand on the other side, and Ifelt that may be because myself and Adele did not join in that it would insome way distance us from the group on the poor side, and I was under pressureto do something I didn’t want to do”)
  • Jade: Kate (“I don’t know where I stand with her. One minuteshe’s nice, all smiles and will talk to yer, and the next minute she won’ttalk to her and you get silly looks and thinks like that and I don’t appreciatethat”) andTim (“I don’t know where I stand. When Sophie was here he spoke to memore and now she’s not, because he knew I had problems with her and that wasa reason to speak to me. Now she’s gone he’s got no reason to speak to me.I don’t think there’s any real like in there”)
  • Jonny: Jade (“She’s apparently been talking about a lot ofhousemates behind their backs, but being nice to their face. She’s done thiswith me as well”) andAdele (“I’ve learned that also Adele has been talking about me, sayingthat I’m playing the game really well and I know what I’m doing. I’ve got somesort of professional qualification for doing this game because I watched theshow last year, so this has made me think with her that is she as genuine asI thought? Have I been too trustworthy since I came in here?”)
  • Kate: Jade (“She talks about too many people behind theirbacks”) andAlex (“It’s not because I’m not getting on with him this week becausesince he’s been on the poor side we’ve got on really well, but I’m gonna goback to the whole of the Big Brother experience from week one, and he’s theonly one I’ve had an issue with when he ignored me for a whole week and Ididn’t know why and he kept having a dig at me. I know we’ve settled ourdifferences now.”)
  • PJ: Adele (“She’s a bit two-faced at times. What she saysto you isn’t what she says to other people. Also, her “relationship” with Jade, her little princess, is completely false and I can see straight through it”)andJade (“To put it in one, she just does my head in. Over the past twoweeks I’ve decided she’s very, very manipulative and it really, really gets to me”)
  • Tim: Jade (“She appears to be really quite lazy and gets alot of people to do a lot of other stuff for her”) andKate (“There was clearly something quite special between her and Spencer, and he’s been gone a week now and her snogging Alex last night was quite ashock to me. I just haven’t seen a girl act like that before, and then to takeup smoking as well, are the two things that shocked me into deciding on Kate”)

June 30th : contestantNo-one expected this…

Last night the housemates took part in an observational quiz where eachof them had to answer one question about the house. A correct answer meantyou could live on the rich side of the house, while a wrong one didn’t. Ifeveryone got them right, the divide would be removed. After the contest wasover, a final chance would be given for a rich side housemate to answer onequestion. If they got it wrong, they would go to the poor side for the nextweek.

At the end of the first round:
Correct: Tim and Kate
Incorrect: Jonny, Alex, Adele, Jade, PJ

Kate got the final question: “Name all of this year’s fourteen housemates, including herself, in alphabetical order”.

She got it wrong, so as things stand right now, all the housemates are onthe poor side for the next week apart from Tim. How’s that going to work?

There was talk of a revolt for a while, but Adele said she wouldn’t take partin one and doubted Jade would either. Alex wasn’t that bothered either. As tempers calmed down, things looked like they’ll just carry on as they havebeen defined.

June 29th : contestantSophie has left the building

Last night at 10pm, Sophie left the house after receiving 85% of the votes.Expect to see her on Big Brother’s Little Brother, C4 1.30pm on Sunday(repeated E4, 7pm).

Lee recorded a message for her saying that he’d see her soon, even though he’sstill with his girlfriend, Carmen, and he couldn’t be in the BB studio lastnight as he was appearing with the Dream Boys.

Tonight there’s another task. All the housemates will be asked a question andif they all get them right, the bars come down. It’ll be better if they do,but I have warmed to their existence more than I thought I would.

June 26th : Two people up for eviction this Friday!contestantcontestant

The two up for eviction this Friday are Jonny & Sophie who had 3 and 4votes respectively. I’m not bothering with the poll again as not enough peopleuse it.

The votes were cast as follows:

  • Adele: Jonny (“He performs to the cameras 24/7, is too awareof the cameras, too conscious of what the public think and this makes me thinkhe’s a false person”) andPJ (“He’s a very tactical player, often asks people what they think butdoesn’t disclose his own feelings”)
  • Alex: Jonny (“In the first couple of weeks we had ourdifferences – eg. urinating in the shower – and when it comes to less peopleliving in the house I’d rather it wasn’t him”) andKate (“She put metal objects in the microwave, thus catching alight, and after Saturday night’s task she said I said sorry to other people fornot picking them and not her, which wasn’t true”)
  • Jade: Sophie (“I think she’s very false, creeps around peopleasking “do you like me?” – seven times after I’ve answered it. I find her reallyirritating and you could ask her the same story twice and you’d get differentanswers”) andJonny (“I don’t think he’s being himself all the way through. He’sdoing things to impress the outside world and that’s not the way to go in theBig Brother house. You should do things because they’re you”)
  • Jonny: Alex (“I thought it was selfish of him on Saturdaynight to leave Kate in the poor side again after she’d spent a week with threemen in the poor side. He was more concerned about keeping Jade and Adeletogether”) andTim (“He’s only been here a week and I known him the least out of therest of the group, and I’m not going to nominate one of the others who I’veknown for four weeks and make up a reason when I’ve not got a reason for it”)
Big Brother didn’t challenge this. So much for demanding proper reasons(!)
  • Kate: Alex (“After Saturday night’s task I wanted to knowhis reason for picking Jade over me and he just walked off”) andJade (“She’s sometimes a little unfair to some members of the group, such as Sophie, and some find it uncomfortable”)
  • PJ: Sophie (“Regardless of who I’m talking to, she alwaysbutts in trying to be more quirky than the story I’m telling and it’s gettingvery tiring now and it’s doing my head in”) andAdele (“I wouldn’t say she was two-faced, but the impression she givesothers when she’s with people is completely different to the impression shegives when you’re on your own with her, or in a smaller group. Obviously, somepeople talk about certain others in the house, but she does it in a connivingway. She can be quite pretentious and false.”)
  • Sophie: Jade (“The longer we stay together, the more chancethere is of us having an argument. Don’t know the reasons why this is. I wouldn’twant to be with her until the end.”) andTim (“While he’s been here, he’s not been at all friendly. We’re allin this house together and should get on, but he’s not making it easy for me”)
  • Tim: Sophie (“She’s the only girl that irritates me. Sheonly has three words in her vocabulary – ‘Lee’, the f-word, and ‘mate'”) andJonny (“He’s having trouble sleeping, and doesn’t seem particularlyhappy. He can be a bit moody sometimes which rubs off on others, and with theage difference I can relate to him the least”)

June 23rd : contestantIs this the last week of the great divide?

Last night the housemates took part in a musical chairs contest.Jonny was first out so remained on the poor side for definite. The winner was Alex and after it was over, these two took it in turns topick people to join them on their side of the divide, starting with Alex’sfirst choice, then the choices were as follows:

  • Alex – PJ, Adele, Jade
  • Jonny – Sophie, Tim, Kate

As Jonny selected Tim, Adele whispered “Thankyou Alex”.

I don’t see Alex being up for eviction this week because neither PJ, Adele orJade will, and the rest were picked by Jonny, so possibly only Kate’s adefinite for nominating Alex this week because she was the last choice betweenherself and Jade.

Tim lied to Kate later saying that he would have chosen her, PJ and Jonnyif he’d won, when we all know he’d have at least chosen Alex. Then again, Timdidn’t deserve to win since he plodded round the chairs like he was bored, yet others like Alex and Jade completely got into the spirit of it.

June 22nd : contestantSpencer has left the building

Last night at 10pm, Spencer left the house after receiving 55% of the votesin a very close-run contest. Expect to see him on Big Brother’s LittleBrother, C4 1.35pm on Sunday (repeated E4, 7pm).

It was funny to see Spencer watching those who nominated him. As Jonny’svideo clip showed him saying he was nominating Spencer because of the basketballcheating incident and still denying it, Spencer said “You did”, then Jonny”replied” “I didn’t”, to which Spencer said again “You did”.

Jade proved her stupidity yet again late last night as she was in bed withAlex and Adele, holding her hands out indicating a straight line saying “Isthat horizontal… as in hexagon… or oblong?”. She is so thick.

June 20th : BB3 pollJade and Adele come to blows

On Tuesday night, after getting extremely pissed, a row broke out betweenJade and Adele over Jade’s verucca and how she must wear flip-flops in theshower.

Jade ended up hyperventilating as Alex tried to calm her down afterwards andshe even threatened to leave, after telling Big Brother that she thinks bytouching her face she’ll end up covered in them, warts and all, from headto toe!

When Big Brother’s Little Brother showed this last night, what was inthe advert break during the programme? Bazuka gel, which fights againstveruccas!

June 19th : Two people up for eviction this Friday!

The two up for eviction this Friday are Alex & Spencer who had 4votes each. This is probably the last time I’ll run a poll since hardly anyonehas been voting so if you’re not bothered, why should I be?

After discussion nominations last week, Jade was excluded fromnominating this week, but she has come up with some classic dialogue overthe last day or two:

(the others talk about TV programme “Inspector Morse”).

Jade: “Mother Theresa – is that a television programme?”…
“She’s from Germany.. Is she English?”…
“Sherlock Holmes, I thought was Mother Theresa’s partner? They go on aboutthem a lot together.”…
“Jesus Christ – he was the person who made Adam and Eve.”

And when Sophie was mind-reading Adele through the ring on her finger, Jadequestion what was happening, to which Adele replied “She’s doing thingswith me ring”.

You couldn’t make it up!

The votes were cast as follows:

  • Adele: PJ (“After spending some time with him on the poorside I found him to be quite lazy and selfish, and he took not being taken overto the rich side very badly and I don’t want to spend more time with someonelike that”) andSpencer (“having no cigarettes or alcohol made him quiet on the poorside and it’s a shame he can’t be himself without those”)
  • Alex: Spencer (“while living on the poor side, Adele hadbeen sitting outside for 90 mins cooking the food, and he said it was disgusting”)and PJ (“when I made the difficult decision about choosing who to livewith me on the rich side, it was the first time I had seen a negative sideto him and I didn’t like the way he was upset and I’d made my choice. Mydecision was final and I didn’t feel I had to explain my reasons why”)
  • Jonny: Alex (“When I was nominated last week he grinned andwas over the moon about it”) andSpencer (“He accused me of cheating when the divide went up, and shoutedhis mouth off about my complaint of that having led to my nomination last week”)
  • Kate: Alex (“The decision he made on Saturday night wasparticularly unfair to some people in the group”) andJade (“I get on really well with her, but sometimes I feel I can’ttrust her and that she maybe being two-face”)
  • PJ: Alex (“It was his decision on Saturday night after thetask”) andSophie (“She’s the Miss Goody Two-Shoes of the group, she’s trying toohard and I find it very annoying”)
  • Sophie: Spencer (“I find him lazy”) andJade (“If I spent more time with her we would end up falling out”)
  • Spencer: Sophie (“Things that annoy me about Sophie are hercontinuous motivation talks that she gives from the other side of the dividewhile holding a glass of wine in her hand and roast dinner in front of her”)and Alex (no reason broadcast on Channel 4, but from the website,”I’d have more respect if he hadn’t bothered giving reasons”, re: the Saturdaydarts task)

June 17th : contestantThe new housemate enters…

Last night a new housemate entered. His name is Timothy Culley, he’s 23,runs his own promotion company, hates rhubard and liquorice. His favouritefood is steak and seafood and he fancies Margaret Thatcher and Cameron Diaz.

He entered the house at around 6.55pm, so when it said “Live” on E4 it wasactually the usual 15-minute delay so as to blank the sound when someonestarted swearing shortly after he entered.

June 16th : contestantThe great divide remains… for now.

Last night Alex won the darts contest, which required each housemate to throwone dart at a board set up in the poor bedroom. His choice was to decide whichside of the house he would like to live on for the next seven days (the richside, obviously) and which three housemates he wanted to take with him. Hechose Adele, Jade and Sophie.

For how long will the divide remain though? It caused ratings to plummet inother countries where it remained throughout the series so it’s likely tocome down sooner rather than later.

A new bloke will enter the house today to replace Sandy. See BigBrother’s Little Brother (E4, 7pm, repeated on C4 at 11.05pm, just afterthe 10pm psychologists’ analysis). Presumably he will enter on the richside of the house.

June 15th : contestantLee has left the building

Last night at 10pm, Lee left the house after receiving 84% of the votes, almost as high as the 86% Stuart received when up against Paul, this time lastyear, also three weeks into the series.

A new bloke will enter the house on Sunday to replace Sandy. See BigBrother’s Little Brother, E4, 7pm.

Apart from me voting for Lee in the online poll, only one other person didwith no-one voting for Jonny. I’ll run the poll for one more week. If hardlyanyone bothers to vote in it then I’ll call it a day with those.

June 14th : Someone will leave tonight, and Sandy left a gift

Either Jonny or Lee will leave tonight. Have your say in our online poll.

Lee’s said that if Jonny goes, he will vacate the premises too. Quite possiblyin the same way as Sandy.

Meanwhile, the Scottish ex-soldier left a present for the housemates beforehe went. After drinking a bottle-and-a-half of wine the night before, he didn’ttake the piss, but did the opposite… all into the kitchen bin.

June 13th : Sandy – what next?

Good question. He caused a big stir after climbing over the fence yesterdaymorning at 7.30am and into the hands of a security guard, but after arecorded interview with Dermot O’Leary for Big Brother’s Little Brother, will we ever see him again? He said it would be his one and only interview, not saying anything else that he hasn’t said before, and that he’ll go toEurope for the weekend and then back to work next week.

He also said that he doesn’t think he’s wasted his place on Big Brother. However, whereas I thought he was playing a game before, he does just seema rather boring bastard now.

June 12th : Two people up for eviction this Friday!

Surprisingly, there’s no chance to vote for the two expected ones this time(Sandy and Alex) since the two up for eviction areJonny & Lee who had 5 votes each.

The housemates were allowed to watch 25 minutes of the England match todayafter the girls completed a task of ‘keepy-uppy’, with one minute availablefor each one done, but what did E4 do when the time came? Switch to the bloodychickens half the time!

Quick Newsflash!: Sandy has left the building! He was due to leaveat 7pm tonight because he’s had enough, but instead scaled the wall in thegarden and escaped!

The votes were cast as follows:

  • Adele: Jonny (“He’s too aware of being on camera and is puttingon an act and not being himself”) andLee (“towards the end of this week he’s been really childish andunable to control his emotions and this unsettles me”)
  • Alex: Jonny (when they had the Tyson/Lewis match on, he said’after the match was finished, they showed a clip of all of us coming in andthey showed that we were saying things by putting things that we said togetherto make a different perspective of ourselves, then afterwards he said sorryhe was only joking, just to wind us up and I didn’t like it”)and Lee (“he’s been gloating, making out our side is a bad place to beand making light of my toilet problems and having a giggle about them. I didn’tthink it was very funny.”)
  • Jade: Lee (“he’s been very sly, rude and obnoxious and Idon’t like him. I’ve seen a different side to him and I find him fake and Idon’t like it”) andSophie (“I think she’s playing a game and I find her very sly, as abackstabber. She said she was upfront and outspoken, but I find she’s a bit ofa liar.”)
  • Jonny: Sandy (“It’d be nice if everyone could open up andbe honest with each other and try and try and get to know each other well andI don’t think he’s doing that”) andAlex (“while he’s in here there’s always a chance of a rift or a row”)
  • Kate: Alex (“He’s not made the effort with me although I triedwith him, and I wouldn’t notice if he wasn’t here”) andSandy (“there’s being truthful, honest and really, really honest andhe’s too honest in what he says. He won’t apologise for what he’s said eventhough he knows it’s wrong.”)
  • Lee: Jade (“She can be quite annoying at times. In discussionsyou can’t get a word in, and she butts in when talking.”) andJonny (“When we’re together, nothing will be said. I’ve got nothing tosay to him, he’s got nothing to say to me. I don’t dislike him, I just have nointerest in what he’s got to say and vice versa”)
  • PJ: Lee (“He’s becoming so lethargic and dragging me down.I find it increasingly difficult to talk to him.”) andSophie (“Whenever she speaks it’s always about her. I could name youten things about her and she probably doesn’t know what I do for a living.”)
  • Sandy: Jonny (“My reasons haven’t changed from last week.I find his humour not funny, for want of a better word. He’s always trying toget attention and everything has to revolve around him.”) andKate (“She is shallow, ie. she also likes to seek attention and usestears too quickly, and initially she was using the men to get them on-side”)
  • Sophie: Alex (“I talk with him, but I find him boring. Ifhe was to go I wouldn’t miss him.”) andSandy (“He’s been keeping his distance, saying he really wants to goand his attitude towards not wanting to be here.”)
  • Spencer: Jonny (“He tends to over-react about things, makingmore of a meal than is necessary and then next minute is perfectly happy – themood swings”) andLee (“he’s very quiet and has given me no specific reason to nominatehim, but also has given me no specific reason to NOT nominate him whereas theothers have. With everybody else I have shared better times than with Lee”)

June 9th : contestantThe great divide

The Big Brother house was last night turned into a ‘Heaven’ and ‘Hell’ asthe remaining ten housemates were split into two groups after a basketballtask which required them to each throw a ball into a basket, the ones whoscored being ushered off to the girls’ bedroom and the other five off to theboys’ one.

The winners were Sophie, Lee, Kate, Sandy and Jonny, while thelosers were PJ, Jade, Spencer, Alex and Adele.

Trying to take it in turns, they still resulted in Spencer and PJ actuallycompletely missing out when it came to throwing a ball, so by default theyended up in the crap side, having to live on basic rations, such as lentilsand chick peas, having to clean out the chicken coop, and using an outsidetoilet, while the rest received £400 to spend on their next week’sshopping.

The plan is for the dividing wall to remain in place for the duration ofthe series (another seven weeks) and each week the contestants will be givena task to see who stays and who swaps places. But only one task on a Saturdaynight? Surely they need more stimulation than that?

Also, today is Sophie’s 25th birthday, but will Big Brother let the ‘poor’housemates have any fun?

June 8th : contestantAlison has left the building

Last night at 10pm, the fat black one, Alison, left the house after leavinga trail of destruction in her wake, including the table in the garden. Overa million people voted in total, and there was only 1027 votes between herand Alex.

In the DVDfever.co.uk poll, Alison scored more votes thananyone.

A new poll will appear when the nominations are announced this Tuesday, andthis time, new girl Sophie will be eligible to nominate and BE nominated.

Also, listen to Jade’s geography lessonhere.

June 6th : contestantJade has come of age

Last night the housemates had a School Disco party for Jade, who turned 21.She had the choice between that and a video message from her Mum, butshe said she could see her Mum anytime but not her housemates (bless!)

The picture here shows what they got up to when some of them jumped in thepool in their school uniforms. Hopefully tonight’s Channel 4 coverage willbe a bit more clear, but you can bet they didn’t behave like adults.

Continue to vote for who you want evicted this Friday betweenSandy, Alex, Alison. Alison is in the lead.

Also, visitBloggerheads.comto find out how they got on when they attended the first eviction night lastFriday and got their banner on air.

June 5th : Three people up for eviction this Friday!

Sandy, Alex, Alison: step forward, it’s your turn. Alex has the mostwith 6 votes, Sandy and Alison have 4 each.

Those are the three people up for nomination this week, with the votes beingcast as follows:

  • Adele: Alison (“she doesn’t like me and is putting on a front”)and Kate (“got jealous of my relationship with Jade, she started gettingpallier with Alison and I feel she would be voting for me”)
  • Alex: Jonny (“openly said that he urinates in the shower andI think it’s disgusting”) and Alison (“she, too, also told us that sheurinates in the shower and this, too, is disgusting”)
  • Alison: Alex (“I don’t like some of his ways: 1. I don’t likethe way he eats the food when we’re cooking and he doesn’t leave too much foreveryone else, and I also don’t like the way he uses the tea-towel to wipe hishands after he washes his hands. I think it’s dirty”) and Sandy (I didn’tlike the way he stormed off last night because we couldn’t decide on an Indianor a Chinese, and I don’t like the way he isolates himself from the group”)
  • Jade: Jonny (“he pissed me off a lot yesterday and he’s been justover and over and over and he’s playing with people’s minds and I think and I’m not a liar and I don’t like to be put acrossas being a liar and that’s what he’s doing and I don’t like that”) and Alex(“I don’t know where I stand with him. It’s the same situation really. He’sused me as a scapegoat a number of times. If he’s got a problem with somebodyhe doesn’t come straight out and tell them, he goes to somebody else and tells THEM.And then he uses you as an excuse to get back at the other person so there’sjust a lot of tension going around at the moment and I feel the tension isbetween myself, him and Jonny and I don’t like it at all.”)
  • Jonny: Sandy (“I think he distances himself and prefers tobe on his own all the time and doesn’t bring much to the group”) and Alex(“He can’t compromise with people, even if it means making things better. Alexis Alex and he’ll stay that way”)
  • Kate: Alex (“the only housemate that’s upset me in the firstweek and he hasn’t made any effort to speak to me. I’m not getting on wellwith him”) and Sandy (“I feel everybody’s come into this house willingto stay here for the whole ten weeks and is making the best effort they can,but I don’t feel Sandy is making any effort at all”)
  • Lee: Jade (“I do like her. She’s a nice girl, but at times shestirs up a bit of trouble with her mouth, running from one person to another toanother to another”) and Kate (“She only talks to me when she wants totalk to me. She’ll be okay one day and then the next three or four she’ll beoff with me. I find that quite annoying. Either speak to me or you don’t.”)
  • PJ: Alex (“Might be a bit of a hygenist, but he tells us whatto do with regards to food, showers, rugs, doors, the garden, the vegetables, the chickens, the list is endless and he’s just a woman and he’s getting to me”) andSandy (“his conversations are generally interesting, but they’re few andfar between. He’s constantly segregating himself from the group which affectsthe community spirit. Basically he lacks enthusiam.”)
  • Sandy: Jonny (“I find his toilet humour beginning to get abit tedious”) and Alison (“You can be sitting quietly somewhere and shedecides to come over and start singing, jumping around, singing the same songsthat she’s been singing for a week and it’s quite tedious”).
  • Spencer: Alex (“His continuous whinging gets on my nerves.I just wanna relax and he’s continuously moaning and whinging. He seems to benot particularly interested in solving conflicts, more interested in makingthem”) and Alison (“I don’t have anything against her. I do like her, butfrom time to time she slightly annoys me. If it wasn’t for this nominationthing I wouldn’t mention it. Plus, she has a double bed, which I’d like. Is thata good enough reason?”)

June 3rd : contestantTime to vote again!

A new girl, Sophie (aged 24), joined the house yesterday just after 1.30pm andbeing rather fit, she could pose a threat to Kate with Spencer, or maybeshe’ll just trigger off Adele’s lesbian leanings?

Meanwhile, another eviction will take place this Friday and tomorrow thehousemates’ nominations will be revealed, so then you can partake in the votingsystem, but nominations for Sophie are only allowed from next week.

There were a couple of good quotes from two housemates over the weekend:

Alex: [in Diary Room] “I’m starting to piss myself off now, I can’t believe it!”

Alison: [to Alex] “If you’re going to talk behind my back, do it to my face!”

Meanwhile, Sandy laid into everyone calling some of the housemates ‘morons’and saying that “I can’t wait to sit round the table and tell them all whatI think of them when I leave.”

Later on Sophie revealed herself to be a palm reader and told a delighted Katethat she’ll find her one true love by the age of 25/26 and will get marriedand have two children. You mean I’ve got to wait three years?? 🙂

And, finally, Jonny and Alex didn’t quite settle their differences, butstarted all-out war as they declared their hatred for each other. What willnewbie Sophie make of it all?

June 2nd : contestantSee Big Brother online for free!

On Thursday I posted a copy of an email which I, and many others it appears, received in response to asking why Channel 4 now charge for their live online feedsof Big Brother when it was free last year.

In addition to this, those who have paid will be getting an extra week freebefore they have to pay (so 3 weeks instead of 2) because the website keptcrashing recently. However, anyone still paying for more than one month afterthis will still find the extra week to be a waste of time because the houseactivities would have been over before the second paid month was up anyway.

However, courtesy of a person online who shall remain nameless, the followingare the same live feeds. As long as you have a recent version of Realplayer, these will play fine:

contestantThe housemates pass their task!

Last night, live on Channel 4, the housemates had an easy quiz in which theyhad to get 7 out of 10 questions right. They scored 8, only not knowing whoplayed Harry Potter in the film (Daniel Radcliffe) and what type of cheese isfeatured inWallace and Gromit(Wensleydale).

As a result they now have £400 to spend on the next week’s shopping, whereas otherwise they would have been restricted to just rice and pasta.

contestantA new housemate will join today!

Sunita’s replacement will arrive today. It’s rumoured to be a girl calledRachel, so watch Big Brother’s Little Brother on Channel 4 at 1.35pmto find out who it is.

contestantLet’s get Alex moving!

The following website has recently gone online in an effort to helpsausage-king Alex go to the toilet. Someone on Friday’s show had the “Let’s GetAlex Moving!” banner in the background in the audience, while another simplyread “Help Al-Ex Lax!”

VisitBloggerheads.comand lend your support… and some laxatives if you have spares.

June 1st :

contestantLynne has left the building

Last night at 10pm, ugly Scot Lynne left the house after the choice was givento the rest of the housemates to decide between evicting her and pig-faced bubblyblonde Jade. The decision was unanimous.

In the DVDfever.co.uk poll, originally Sunita got the most numberof votes with 31%, but coming second was Jade. Lynne only got one vote.

A new poll will appear as soon as one is declared, and it may include a housemateentering to replace Sunita.

May 31st :

Someone else will leave tonight

Last night, just after 7pm, Sunita left the house of her own accord and wasinterviewed on Big Brother’s Little Brother. She said “I’m sad butI know it was the right decision to leave… Every single night I thought – do Iwant to be here? …I was very aware of the cameras and started to feelclaustrophobic. It was the same faces, the same routines and I couldn’t shakethe feeling off.”. She reckons the next housemate to go will be Lynne orSandy and that Jade will be the overall winner.

The eviction will still goahead tonight with another house member, but they won’t find out until 8.30pmand will have less than 30 minutes to place their votes.

Also yesterday, Alex called a meeting to discuss various issues about cleanlinessaround the house and generally got on everyone’s tits as a result, and Leehad his 22nd birthday party with a Wrestling feast of American fast food.

May 30th :

Sunita quits and Sandy explodes

Over the past couple of days Sunita has been saying that she doesn’t want toget to know anyone else in the house and that she’s had enough. Last night,at 8pm, she told Big Brother she wants to leave, and she broke this news tothe rest of the housemates at 8.18pm. She’s set to exit some time today.

contestantMeanwhile, Sandy exploded when he found that the girls had used all theremaining sugar and eggs for Lee’s birthday cake, as he turns 22 today.

He said: “For fuck’s sake! If you’ve got no sugar, you don’t make thingslike cake. That’s basic. And the eggs were used as well. Thanks for keeping mein the loop. I’m pissed off now.

For fifteen seconds of pleasure, five days of fucking pain. I’ll bring it upat a later date. We’re not here for fucking parties. If I was still in thearmy you’d get locked up for taking rations without speaking to the rest of theguys.”

But of course, the BIG news is that Alex STILL hasn’t had a poo.

As an additional, I emailed Channel 4 about their online activities at:viewerenquiries@channel4.co.ukand said:

“Dear C4,

Since I now have broadband I was looking forward to watching BB3 online, but I and many others I know are disgusted about your plans to charge forthis service, which was free the last two years.

I doubt you’ll get anyone signing up for it, so I presume I’ll have to watchthe delayed, censored broadcasts on E4, or was that the plan so that it upsyour falling advertising revenue?”

Yesterday I received the reply:

“Hello and thanks for the email.

For the first two series of Big Brother, the live video feeds were providedfree of charge on the web by third parties at no cost to Channel 4. Thesuccess of the show has meant that the cost of providing such a service hasescalated to the extent that this year this was not an option. Withoutpartners, Channel 4 cannot afford to offer live streaming of Big Brother 3on the internet free of charge.

Viewers will be able to access free live streaming for the first two weeksfollowing sign-up to the live web service and will also get free livestreaming on Channel 4 on Friday and Saturday nights.

We are sorry if our decision to charge for live web streaming hasdisappointed viewers. But having recently posted our first annual loss in adecade, we must ensure we can continue to pay for all the other valuedprogrammes and services provided by the main Channel 4 service at no cost toviewers

Regards

James Povey
Information Officer”

I’ve emailed back asking for them to sort out the sound-blanking aspect sothat we don’t go for minutes at a time of no dialogue, and that they drop theconstant “BIG BROTHER (red dot)” logo which will appear splashed over all E4programmes including ER, Friends and Ally McBeal.

May 29th :

The big news at the moment is that Sunita wants out, because she doesn’tfeel she has anything she wants to know about any other contestant in the house, while Alex wants a poo because he hasn’t been yet.

He also fancies Kate, but who doesn’t? 🙂

May 25th :

They all went in last night – 12 this time, instead of the usual 10.See below for a description of each Big Brother 3 housematebut which one deserves to be the first to go?

There’s no announced plans at present for anyone new to join the house, butapparently surprises are planned including sending a celebrity into the house.

Of course, the first surprise is that the moneygrabbing bastards at Channel 4 have, this year, decided to charge for viewing the “action” online at the princelysum of £9.99/month! You can view for free for 14 days but in order todo so you still have to submit your credit card details. No thanks!

So, it looks like the new broadband modem won’t be put to good use there andI’ll have to make do with the censored, delayed broadcasts on E4, almostround the clock (20 hours a day), but they’ve been putting a banner onscreenwhen the sound is blanked, saying “the sound will continue when the housematesstop being foul-mouthed”, yet they weren’t – Jade was talking about a journalistwho found out info about the housemates before they went in.

The voting begins now. There are 12 people in the house, but between now andFriday you can vote for who you want out. On the night, the housemates will havethree minutes to decide between them which of the chosen two they want rid.Of the poll on this site, the system I’m using only has 10 selections so I’veleft out the two most popular housemates at the time of writing, accordingto the Channel 4 website, which are Kate and Spencer.
