Collide stars Hollywood heavyweights Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley, as druglord and gangster, respectively, in a daft film that stars Brit Nicholas Hoult (X-Men Apocalypse) as American backpacker Casey, who gets involved with a ring of drug smugglers as their driver, though he winds up on the run from his employers across Munich’s high-speed Autobahn.
Also changing nationalities is Brit Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) as Juliette, who needs a live transplant… or something. Who cares. The fact is, that Casey has to nick a truck so that Kingsley will pay him a ton of money so he can buy his girlfriend a new organ.
To pay for his girlfriend’s (Jones) medical emergency while abroad, Casey (Hoult) schemes to pull a drug heist for an eccentric gangster (Kingsley). After a failed attempt, he embarks across Europe on an action-packed chase in a race against time to save his girlfriend’s life from being taken by an evil druglord (Hopkins).
As of yet, there’s no UK or US release date for Collide, but this looks like pretty entertaining high-speed chase crash/bang/wallop nonsense.
