My BRUTALLY HONEST REVIEW of DOLLY!

Dolly Dolly proves that if you go down to the woods today, you’ll come across an immensely tall and strong woman, surrounded by creepy dollies nailed to the trees. Yes, I think that garnered the 18-certificate all on its own!

Yes, it’s a Valley of the Dolls!

This oddbod is one of those typical horror movie baddies where she has superhuman strength, and it’s amazing how much the baddies lumber around slowly in these sorts of films, yet turn your back for a second, and they’re right behind you! Plus, she takes cues from the film Audition when it comes to involuntarily removing someone’s limbs…

The advice dished out by hikers Macy (Fabianne Therese) and Chase (Seann William ScottJackpot!, as well as Stifler in the American Pie series) is is NOT to go off the trail when you’re in the woods, because only calamity can ensue… so, they go off the trail.

Safe to say that if you’d gone through what any of this lot have, AND somehow managed to escape alive, you’d be scarred for life!

Shot on Super 16, Dolly purposely has all the visual quality of I Spit On Your Grave, but it’s effective enough, massively creepy and there are murders which will give you an involuntarily laugh from time to time.

There’s also some weird music eminating through the forest whenever Dolly (portrayed by AEW wrestler Max The Impaler) is around, and some may say that doing this 9-5 ain’t no way to make a living, but I’m certainly up for a sequel!

Additionally, there’s various chapters throughout the film, for all the difference it makes, but I’ll put them behind a spoiler header in case you don’t want to see them before the film:

Dolly is in cinemas now, but isn’t yet available to pre-order on Blu-ray or DVD. However, once announced, it will appear on the New DVD Blu-ray 3D and 4K releases UK list.
