FANTASTIC FOUR
‘USA Today’ has revealed the Fantastic Four cast in full make-up (seeright). Jessica Alba (TV’s Dark Angel) plays Susan Storm/Invisible Woman,Ioan Gruffudd (King Arthur) plays Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, Chris Evans(Cellular) plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Michael Chiklis (TV’s TheShield) plays Ben Grimm/Thing.
Well, despite concerns over the script and the re-imagining of Dr Doom(played by Julian McMahon of TV’s Nip/Tuck) these pictures certainly lookquite satisfying – although Thing does look like a burns victim, and JohnnyStorm isn’t blonde. Still, these are somewhat geeky objections most peoplewon’t care about…
HIS DARK MATERIALS
‘BridgetotheStars.net’ have an excellent interview with writer Chris Weitz(About A Boy), who is attached to direct the movie adaptation of PhilipPullman’s acclaimed trilogy His Dark Materials, comprised of NorthernLights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.

LAND OF THE DEADSimon Baker (The Ring 2), John Leguizamo (Assault On Precinct 13), AsiaArgento (xXx), and Robert Joy are joining Dennis Hopper in George A.Romero’s Land Of The Dead, which starts filming on 11 October in Toronto.
Written and directed by Romero, the movie is set in the modern world wherethe living inhabit a walled-in city, protected from the walking dead thatpopulate the wasteland beyond.
Baker, Argento and Leguizamo all play a team of soldiers sent out to dobattle with the gathering and evolving zombie threat in a tank-like vehiclecalled the Dead Reckoning.
SUPERHERO!’Dimension Films’ has asked its Scary Movie 3 team of David Zucker, CraigMazin and Robert Weiss to tackle Superhero!, reports ‘Variety’.
The spoof comedy will poke fun at the multitude of superhero films, fromSpider-Man to next summer’s Batman Begins and Fantastic Four. Mazin willscript, Zucker will direct and Weiss is producing.
TERMINATOR 4Terminator 4 is ready to start production next year, now Terminator 3screenwriters John Brancato and Michael Ferris have completed a draft of thescreenplay, overseen by T3’s director Jonathan Mostow.
Mostow is expected to direct T4 after shooting his next movie, while ArnoldSchwarzenegger is expected to appear in a cameo role. Nick Stahl and ClaireDanes are both contracted to star in T4.
