SUPERMANKal Penn (Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle) will play Lex Luthor’sright-hand man in the new Superman movie.
Famke Janssen (X-Men, right) has met with director Bryan Singer, and is likely toplay Superman’s birth mother Lora. Daniel Day-Lewis (Gangs Of New York) isalso rumoured to be playing Superman’s birth father Jor-El.
Jude Law (Cold Mountain) has signed on as General Zod (the role made famousby Terence Stamp in Superman II), and Kevin Bacon (Apollo 13) has signed asJohn Corbin. Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan) will also star as a DailyPlanet reporter who becomes Clarke’s rival after his return.
THE HILLS HAVE EYESA remake of Wes Craven’s 1977 cult classic The Hills Have Eyes is scheduledto begin filming late April for nine weeks, reports ‘Production Weekly’.
Wes Craven, who wrote and directed the original, will produce at ‘DimensionFilms’. Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur, the duo behind High Tension,wrote the script and Aja will direct.
The new version follows a suburban American family who take a tripcross-country. However, when their trailer breaks down mysteriously in theNew Mexico desert, they are preyed upon by a family of deformed hill people.The family members must defend themselves against these horrors.
INDIANA JONES 4’Contact Music’ talked to Sean Connery’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, who gavean update on the actor’s career.
Seltzer: “He’s not interested in just doing anything, to work for the sakeof working… He’s taken some time off to write his memoirs but he hasn’tretired.”
“When I asked him if he’d play Indiana Jones’ father again in anothersequel, he said, ‘Of course I would. Don’t be ridiculous.'”
